New PEGASUS website

The PEGASUS* project aims to develop new ways of thinking about farmland and forest management to achieve the most appropriate level of environmental and social benefits from these activities in rural areas. Over thirty case studies are planned across the EU to consider the issues and find solutions that work in a range of farming and forest systems as well as along the supply chain. The intended aim is to stimulate long-lasting improvement in the provision of public goods and ecosystem services from agricultural and forest land in the EU.

The new website provides up to date information about PEGASUSnews about current project activities, a calendar of events and upcoming opportunities to get involved in the project, as well as information on the case studies that will take place during 2016. It also features an interactive blog that will be used to disseminate the project results as they emerge. A library of resources including reports, presentations and other project-related material is available.

Active participation from stakeholders is central to the PEGASUS approach and the website encourages stakeholders – whether land managers, supply chain representatives, NGOs, or local, regional and national decision makers – to engage actively, e.g. by participating in upcoming workshops and events, commenting on blog posts and signing up for the PEGASUS newsletter.

*PEGASUS (Public Ecosystem Goods and Services from land management – Unlocking the Synergies) is funded through the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research programme and runs until March 2018.
