Paul Meins was with Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers) for over 20 years until 1996, including 14 years as partner in charge of their United Kingdom actuarial division. Since then he has continued to practice as an independent actuarial consultant. In addition, he assists various charities with finance and human resource issues. Professionally he is a member of the Damages Working Party and is Vice Chair of the Resource and Environmental Group, of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. This Group studies the financial implications of climate change and resource depletion and promotes discussion both within the actuarial profession and the wider financial and academic community.
