Clara joined IEEP as a European Green Deal Adviser in January 2022. She focuses on the implementation of the European Green Deal, and she is closely involved in the organisation’s European Green Deal Barometer and Think2030 platform. Before that, Clara managed the Climate, Energy and Sustainability Programme of the think tank Friends of Europe. She holds an MS in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Ghent and an MS in Environmental Sciences from the University of Antwerp, leading to a keen interest in the relationship between environment and health. Clara speaks Dutch, English and French.
Picking up on the numerous ongoing negotiations on Green Deal files in the legislative procedure, as well as the impact of the war in Ukraine and the energy price hike, the Barometer paints a picture of the Green Deal as it currently stands.
The Think2030 conference is back for its third edition! This in-person event, co-organised by IEEP and IDDRI, will centre the discussion on European Green Deal implementation by 2024 and beyond.
