<p>The review assesses the terms and definitions related to nature and biodiversity conservation, adaptation to climate change and habitat fragmentation. The review forms a part of a broader study (ENV.B.2/ETU/2006/0042R) aiming to provide the European Commission with scientific advice on how to guide the Member States in implementing connectivity and coherence related provisions of the Habitats and Birds directives.</p>
