IEEP UK Head of Environmental Policy
No longer in the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy, the UK’s four nations are forging ahead with the development of new agricultural policy frameworks., Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are transitioning towards new systems of support for farmers and land managers and are examining how best to increase productivity and deliver for the environmental and climate at the same time. The UK’s nations are progressing at different speeds and IEEP UK is examining the sustainability implications of these developments. At the same time, other changes around Food Strategies and Land Use Frameworks are significant policy initiatives that will impact how we use land and how we produce food.
