To mark the arrival of the ‘renewed’ EU Sustainable Development Strategy, scheduled for approval by the European Council of the 15-16 June 2006, the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) and the Institute for European Studies (IES) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) are organizing a half-day policy forum at the European Parliament on 22 June. On the occasion of this event, the new book The European Union and Sustainable Development: Internal and External Dimensions, edited by Marc Pallemaerts and Albena Azmanova and published by VUB Brussels University Press, will also be presented.
