Our initiatives and networks

The Institute for European Environmental Policy coordinates and takes part in many pan-European initiatives and networks.

Launched by IEEP and its partners in 2018, Think2030 is an evidence-based, non-partisan platform of leading policy experts from European think tanks, civil society, the private sector and local authorities.

Launched by way of a 2019 communication from the European Commission, the Green Deal covers several environmental objectives, with the ultimate aim to make the EU climate neutral by 2050.

The Green Trade Network is a group of experts from over 20 European research organisations, ranging from think tanks to NGOs and academia, conducting evidence-based research and outreach activities on the trade and environment nexus.

IEEP is an active member of the Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe, a leading NGO coalition fighting dangerous climate change. In its role as knowledge partner, IEEP contributes to the network with science-based recommendations for the engagement activity then run by the organisation.

In June 2021, IEEP and the ZOE Institute founded the EU Wellbeing Economy Coalition, a civil society coalition for moving policy beyond economic growth towards a wellbeing economy.

The ESAD platform gathers a diverse set of stakeholders to collectively discuss and inform EU and national decision-makers on the importance of agricultural Research & Innovation (R&I).
