Elisabet Nadeu

Lead - Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management

Elisabet currently leads IEEP’s work on sustainable agriculture and natural resource management, with a particular focus on advancing solutions that scale sustainable soil management and nature-positive farming systems. Her expertise spans research, policy development and implementation on sustainable soil and resource management in agriculture and key areas of food-system transformation, including protein diversification and increasing overall food system resilience.

 

Earlier in her career Elisabet worked as a researcher at the RISE Foundation, co-authoring several reports on sustainable resource management in the EU, and at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC, Spain), and the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium), focusing on sustainable soil management, soil erosion and its links to the carbon cycle.

 

Elisabet holds a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a PhD in Sustainable Soil Management and Soil Conservation from the University of Murcia. She is fluent in Catalan, English, Spanish and French.
