Evelyn Underwood joined IEEP in 2012. Her areas of expertise include the implementation of EU biodiversity policy, pollinator conservation, nature-based solutions, and funding and financing for biodiversity and nature restoration. Evelyn leads IEEP’s work on the implementation and evaluation of EU biodiversity policies ion agricultural policy and management and Natura 2000 (including guidance, best practice case studies, and analysis of EU funding opportunities), and on opportunities for public funding and private financing for biodiversity and nature restoration.

Evelyn has an MSc in Agriculture, Environment and Development from the University of East Anglia and a BSc in Environmental Biology from the University of Aberystwyth. She has native English, is fluent in German, and competence in Spanish and French.
