Nicolas joined the IEEP’s UK office as a Programme and Policy Assistant in May 2022, supporting the Executive Director and Head of UK Environmental Policy to build up the IEEP’s presence in London after Brexit.
Nicolas has worked for the European Centre for Democracy and Human Rights (ECDHR), advocating in Brussels for the observance of human rights in the Middle East and Gulf Region. He has also spent time working for Scotland House Brussels, helping promote COP26 in the EU.
In his previous role, Nicolas took a freelance position with Human Rights Pulse Podcasts, helping co-produce a podcast series. It focused on the stories of indigenous leaders in the global South, their continuous defence of natural environments, and their experiences during COP26.
Nicolas has a B.A. in Law and Politics with a specialisation in EU Law and International Human Rights from the University of Glasgow. He is fluent in English, Spanish and French, with a basic knowledge of Mandarin Chinese.
