At a gathering in London on May 19th, Trustees, staff and other members of the IEEP family as well as a network of close friends celebrated our fortieth anniversary with speeches from some leading environmental figures. It was also an occasion to mark some of our achievements over the last four decades, including a look back over the last 18 years during which David Baldock has been Director. He steps down shortly and we welcome Céline Charveriat, who will be based in our Brussels office, while London continues at full strength. Céline will be bringing a strong background in climate policy – a key issue for the institute in the coming years – amongst many other invaluable strengths and qualities.
Thank you to all who have played a part in the history of IEEP and to those who continue to do so. Here’s to the next chapter….
