IEEP is looking for a contractor to develop and carry out a stakeholder consultation survey on the implementation of the European Green Deal. More information can be found in the download.
In 2021, IEEP launched the first European Green Deal Barometer survey which, through sustainability experts inputs, identifies barriers and opportunities for the implementation of the Green Deal. The first and second editions gathered the views of more than 300 sustainability experts from all over Europe. The European Green Deal Barometer is praised by the Green Deal community and European policymakers, including Diederik Samsom, Head of Cabinet to the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans, and Dr Hans Bruyninckx, Executive Director of the European Environment Agency (EEA).
For the third edition, we will build on the conclusions of the second edition of the Barometer, gathered from the views of sustainability experts on the state of the European Green Deal’s implementation and analyse further topics in line with the historical happenings. In addition to this general scope, the survey will deepen its national focus, with tailored questions, topics, and answers from 4 to 6 EU Member States. We aim to have experts’ views from at least France, Czechia, Sweden, and Spain – the four Member states we targeted last year – and potentially two additional states, namely Hungary and Greece. Overall, the stakeholder categories we are targeting are think tank experts and academics, NGO activists, private stakeholders and policymakers; both at the EU and national level.
The survey is expected to be launched at the beginning of March 2023. The survey results are expected to be available around the middle of April to feed into a report and recommendations on implementation of the European Green Deal. The report and recommendations will potentially be presented during a special launch event in the course of June.
