On 8 September, the 35th Economic Forum in Karpacz, Poland, will host more than 6,000 guests – leaders from the worlds of politics, business, science and culture from more than 60 countries. IEEP is glad to partner with and take part in the event with the participation of our Board member Thomas Nowak as speaker.
This year’s edition of the Forum will be held under the slogan “The Architecture of the New Order – Stability in Times of Change.” The Forum’s programme will focus on this issue and will cover eight main thematic areas: Digitalisation Forum, Health Care Forum, Regions Forum, Economy, International Politics, Security, Society and Sustainable Development. The Forum’s programme will be complemented by numerous special zones and initiatives, including the Business Stage – SGH, House of Digital Poland, Poland-Czechia Forum, Polish-Chinese Forum, Author Meetings – Jagiellonian University, Dual-Use – Cracow University of Technology, AGH Zone, Warsaw University of Technology Zone and University of Warsaw Zone.
As every year, the Economic Forum attracts the most important political decision-makers and representatives of public administration. Among those who have confirmed their participation in this year’s edition are Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs; Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy; Marcin Kulasek, Minister of Science and Higher Education; Michał Kamiński, Deputy Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland; and Krzysztof Bosak, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. Among the special guests will be outstanding experts, academics and opinion leaders from around the world. American geopolitical expert and commentator Hal Brands, a professor at Johns Hopkins University and a Bloomberg Opinion columnist, will take part in the Forum.
The Economic Forum in Karpacz is one of the most important networking venues in Poland, bringing together representatives of business, politics, public administration, academia and the media. Last year’s statistics best demonstrate the scale of the event – the conference was co-created by 355 partners, including 146 business partners, 110 institutional partners and 83 media partners. More than 200 CEOs and members of the management boards of key Polish and international companies have already confirmed their participation in this year’s edition.
