Analysis of Responses to ‘Rivers, Lochs, Coasts: The Future for Scotland’s Waters – Final Report to the Scottish Executive

AUTHORS: Andrew Farmer-Claire Monkhouse

The Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) was asked by the Scottish Executive to undertake an analysis of responses to the Scottish Executive’s consultation document ‘Rivers, Lochs, Coasts: The Future for Scotland’s Waters’, which provides the initial proposals for transposition and implementation of the 2000 EU water framework Directive (2000/60/EC). This report provides an initial overview analysis of the sources of the responses received. It then provides a more detailed summary structured according to the individual issues and questions raised in the consultation paper.
