Axel joined IEEP in January 2024 and is a part of the Nature and Food systems programme. He works on agricultural policies, notably on the CAP and on Animal welfare. He also contributes to the work of IEEP related to food systems and soil.

Axel has a background in Law and Political science, which he studied during his two master’s degrees in France and Italy. Prior to joining IEEP, Axel gained experiences within the European Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly, before joining the legal unit of the DG Agriculture of the European Commission. Axel is a French native speaker and speaks English and Italian.
