Chiara joined IEEP in July 2023. Her area of expertise covers climate policies, the Green Deal and sustainability.

Prior to joining IEEP, Chiara has worked at the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, in the Research Centre of the Department of Finance, where she mainly focused on policy design and evaluation of national and EU environmental end energy taxation. Chiara has also been a lecturer in Public Economics at the University of Rome Niccolò Cusano.

Chiara holds a PhD in Environmental and Development Economics, defending an empirical thesis on the impacts of climate shocks on rural households and food security in Uganda. She speaks Italian, English, Spanish and French.
