Ilia Neudecker

IEEP Associate

Ilia is an independent consultant based in the Netherlands. She previously worked at the Dutch Ministry of Environment on waste policy, resource efficiency, and sustainable consumption and production. She was also part of the national negotiation teams on agricultural issues (soil, pesticides, CAP) and on the 2004 EU accession. Her negotiation skills were further developed during the 2004 Dutch EU presidency.

After becoming an independent consultant, she worked with IEEP on the Make it Work initiative, and produced an important part of the analysis for the Make it Work projects on environmental reporting and on circular economy. She also organised several workshops and gave presentations within the Make it Work framework.

Ilia is currently involved in rural development through LEADER, in several Dutch regions. Circular economy is her chief interest. Her working languages are English, Dutch and German.

Ilia enjoys spending time outdoors, walking, birdwatching, in voluntary nature conservation and wild swimming. She is also an accomplished martial artist.
