Irene Chiocchetti joined IEEP in April 2022,  coordinating the Think Sustainable Europe (TSE) network and its activities. She is also the author of three editions of the European Green Deal Barometer. She is currently working on research projects focusing on climate, particularly on the social and economic dimensions, air quality, and climate adaptation.

Before IEEP, she worked at the European Parliament, the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU, and in another Brussels-based think tank. She holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Siena and an advanced Master’s degree in European Law from the Institute of European Studies of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Irene is fluent in Italian, English and French, and has a good level of German.
