Isabella is a Senior Policy Analyst (Consultant) in the Nature and food systems team. She has been working as a Research Consultant with a focus on food system transformation and climate policy for the last three years – collaborating with, e.g., the Food System Economics Commission, UN IFAD, and the Forum New Economy. Before that, she was a project manager at SYSTEMIQ, a sustainability consultancy with a systems-change approach, and a sustainability manager for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Europe’s largest applied research organisation. She holds a PhD in sustainability politics and a master’s in international Cultural and Business Studies and is fluent in English and German. Her work experience spans policy research on topics like repurposing agricultural subsidies, the political economy of food systems, financing sustainable agriculture transitions, and a just transition.
