Krystyna Springer joined IEEP in 2023. Her research focuses on  climate-mitigation pathways for EU agriculture and land use, the role of market-based policy instruments in the agri-food sector, carbon farming, and broader food-system transformation.

Prior to joining IEEP, Krystyna worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where she focused on Paris alignment assessment of project finance in the agribusiness sector. In her previous role at the UK-based non-profit organisation ShareAction, she conducted research on climate and biodiversity risk management approaches in the asset management and insurance industries.

Krystyna holds an MA in International Political Economy from King’s College London. In addition to her native Polish, she speaks English and Swedish.
