Louis joined IEEP in 2024 and brings 10 years of experience working at the intersection of academia, policy, and practice. His primary goal is to contribute to building a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable society. This drive has led him to engage with a broad range of environmental and social issues, including climate change, governance, ecology, resilience, sustainability, disaster management, and land use and planning.
Louis specializes in qualitative research, facilitating expert discussions, workshops, interviews and questionaries to explore key topics in scientifical robust manner.
Before joining IEEP, Louis was a researcher and lecturer at various European universities, where he worked at the forefront of climate change and disaster risk management governance. He continues to publish research articles, policy papers, and reports on these subjects, maintaining strong ties with the research community across Europe. His ongoing work aims to strengthen the links between research and practice.
Louis holds a PhD in Planning from Birmingham City University and an MSc in Environmental Sustainability. A native English speaker, he also speaks French.
