Martijn joined IEEP in January 2023 as Head of Strategic Relations and Activities. Prior to joining IEEP, Martijn spent several years in Asia and South America spearheading partnerships and advocacy for CGIAR research institutions based in the Global South, with a focus on sustainability, agriculture and public health in the context of the SDGs. Prior to this, Martijn worked in Brussels focused on sustainable development policy. A Dutch national, Martijn speaks English, Dutch, French, Spanish and German and has a background in Eastern European Studies and organisational psychology.
