Peter worked at IEEP as a Senior Policy Analyst for over 15 years before co-funding Ecocentric Consulting. Peter worked at IEEP on a wide range of environmental topics and developed an expertise in environmental policy integration, environmental law, energy and waste, biodiversity, chemicals and EU funding instruments. Peter managed several high-profile projects for the EU as well as developed policy guidance documents for the Commission on Impact Assessments, climate change adaptation, ecosystem services and Cohesion Policy.

Peter has a well-established reputation in environmental assessments, contributing to the policy assessment of TEEB and the Handbook on European and International Experience of Strategic Environmental Assessment. Peter holds Master’s degrees from London School of Economics and Helsinki University of Technology. Peter is a Finnish citizen and fluent in English, Finnish and Swedish.
