Pierre is IEEP’s Global Challenges and SDGs Head of Programme and the coordinator of the Green Trade Network. His area of expertise focuses on trade and environmental sustainability. Pierre is an Adjunct Professor at Sciences Po Paris (School of Public Affairs and Paris School of International Affairs) and a Scientific Associate at the Free University of Brussels (ULB – CEVIPOL). In 2021, he led the creation of the Green Trade Network (GTN), a group of over 50 policy experts conducting evidence-based research and outreach activities on the trade and environment nexus. Until 2023, Pierre was Director of Studies and Development of the think tank « Europe Jacques Delors », a Brussels-based think tank which he contributed to creating in 2020. He co-authored a series of policy papers on “how to ‘green’ the EU’s trade policy” with Pascal Lamy, former EU Trade Commissioner and former Director General of the World Trade Organisation. He holds a Master’s degree in Private Law from the Jean-Moulin University of Lyon, a Master’s degree in Public Law obtained at the Humboldt University in Berlin, and a Master’s degree in Legal History from the Jean-Moulin University of Lyon.
