Ida joined IEEP’s External Impact and Climate and Circular Economy teams as Communications Assistant in April 2022, supporting their outreach activities with the objective of monitoring and proposing improvements to existing EU policy on the Energy Taxation Directive (ETD) and the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS).
Ida was one of the co-founders of Extinction Rebellion Hellas, the Greek branch of the global activist green movement, and one of the main mediators in its extension. She has also co-produced a documentary concerning the impact of the climate crisis on internal population displacement (IDP) in different regions of Greece due to natural and man-made disasters. In her previous role as a Communications and Advocacy Assistant for CIDSE she worked on issues concerning corporate accountability and climate justice, following policy processes on the UN Binding Treaty, the EU Due Diligence legislative proposal and COP26.
Ida has a MSc in Political Science with a specialization in international relations from the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and a B.A. in Psychology from Hellenic American University (HAU).
She is fluent in Greek and English and has a good knowledge of French.
