After four successful editions, we have just launched the fifth edition of the European Green Deal Barometer with a special focus on the Green Deal’s external dimension. This IEEP’s annual publication gathers the views of sustainability experts on the developments and progress of the Green Deal. The survey is open until 5 March.
Take the survey
The annual European Green Deal Barometer asks sustainability experts their views on the different files of the European Green Deal, serving as a “confidence barometer” on European Green Deal implementation.
This edition has a special focus on its external dimension, with questions on the pursuit of the EU and international climate commitments and on impacts on countries outside the EU. This year we will explore the opportunities the Green Deal presents and the problems it poses to third countries. In addition, it contains questions on the spillovers on some policy files, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA), and the upcoming Clean Industrial Deal (CID).
Given the international focus, this survey is for sustainability experts working on either EU or international environmental policy, which will allow us to compare the different perspectives.
The survey has been created in collaboration with the Green Economy Coalition and is supported by the Gates Foundation and the Heinrich Böll Foundation.

The survey will be open until 5 March and is likely to take between 10-15 minutes.
