The European and global sustainability transition must be accelerated. This requires a substantial ramping up of investments to deliver on the EU’s climate and environmental goals.
IEEP is working to redirect the use of both public finances on sustainability (through existing public policy) and private finance through the EU‘s broader sustainable finance agenda, including the Taxonomy on sustainable finance. IEEP represents environmental think-tanks on the EU’s expert group – the Platform on Sustainable Finance, supporting robust science-based criteria.
